Evil Elliptical Machine

I have a love hate relationship with my elliptical machine.  Using it burns so many calories, yet if I do use it, no matter how much water I’ve had, I seem to get dehydrated.  For me, that means a killer migraine.  After more than a half gallon of water, a couple cups of herbal tea and medication, I finally feel well enough to stop the kids from making a complete disaster of the house. 

The elliptical machine at the gym doesn’t seem to have the same effect.  Maybe it’s because I use that one in the morning.  If I use the one I have at home, I always use it in the evening.  

Anyway, I have exercised every day this week and will still do it today even though the migraine probably won’t leave completely.  I’m so sick of this excess weight and if my head’s going to hurt anyway, I may as well exercise.

    Sometimes if you have a bit of protein before working out (like a spoonful of peanut butter, only 80 calories) and start drinking water an hour before working out, it can help to prevent the headaches! (I used to get them too!)

    I love that you are still determined to get that work out in. Keep up the great work girl. I hope you can find the solution to your water problem. I know that there are some days where I’m more thirsty than others. I just keep drinking as I go. Have a great weekend!

    I am not sure I like the elliptical or not. Sometimes it really wears me out and others it is just average. Hope you can find a happy medium somwhere with it. Glad yu are still going to et a workout in.I know how hard that can be with a migraine. Don’t over do it! Have a great weekend!
