Where, oh where, has my motivation gone?

Oh, where oh where, can it be?  Please tell me I’m not the only one that hears that to the puppy dog song!  I just don’t feel like doing ANYTHING!  Well, I don’t feel like doing anything but sleeping.  It’s not that I don’t want to do things, I just don’t seem to have the energy to do them.  Maybe it’s the weather.  I’m praying that the rain will stop long enough this evening for me to go out walking.  The dogs are in dire need of a good walk and I could use one outside as well.

Well, nothing was ever accomplished by just talking about getting it done so I will go do what I need to get done.  Hopefully that will give me some energy to do something I want to do, not just need to do.  Here’s hopin’!  :)

Blame it on Fall. The weather gets a little more dreary and so do our attitudes.

Put on a raincoat and get out there with the puppies.

    Have a good week!

I know how it is to have absolutely NO motivation! It gets harder every day for me rather than easier! I’m blaming the pregnancy on that one tho!! It is supposed to get easier to find your motivation! If not, I guess do what you have to if you feel like it or not. That’s what I have to do! :)

I hear you! I was motivated this morning, but this afternoon I’m just tired and ready to curl up in bed. I’m going to have to force myself to go to my 7:15 Step class. I told my husband I was going and asked my sister to meet me there… gotta make myself accountable so I don’t let it slip by.

Yeah a couple of rest days are ok. As long as you don’t get a guilt trip about it. You could take a nice shower or a bath or start a nice book and enjoy not exercising.
If it becomes prolonged, this lazy period, get someone to walk or go to the gym with. For a while. What do you think?
I sometimes slack off and then hit it double time. Works great for the weight loss. We’re not robots, dear. You have too high expectations of yourself and then you get these guilt trips and bouts of sadness. Don’t. YOu’re doing great. Have you looked at your weight graph lately. Look at the trend. You’re doing something right, babyeee.

Are you missing something from your diet that could be causing you to feel tired and sluggish? I know sometimes that is my problem. I know you have to go see a specialist soon but until then, maybe you need to look over your food intake. Just a thought. I hope you get your walk in and if you don’t enjoy the break. Have a good night Diane. It can’t rain forever! :)

I get these days as well. I’ve learned to overcome some of them by being active. Not just working out but visiting family and friends. Shopping (window shopping), crafts, games, reading, movies. I try and keep my mind busy, and it does help. I also have to make sure to take my vitamins. If it continues for weeks you might want to talk to your doctor. I’m sure you’ll feel better soon. Good luck.
