I didn’t wanna do it
Yesterday was loooooong. My husband didn’t get home until almost 11 p.m. and the kids were pretty hyper all day. I so did not want to exercise, but I finally got up and did it - an entire 60 minutes of it. I won’t lie and say that I felt better after exercising, but at least I wasn’t down on myself for not doing it. This morning I did one of my 4 mile Leslie Sansone dvd’s. I will probably take the dogs for a walk this evening as well. When I walk my beagle, I don’t get into the proper heart range most of the time unless I really push her. Last time I did that she slept for 2 days!
I was actually pretty proud of myself today. I worked through a migraine. It’s still bugging me, but it’s not as bad as it was. I sometimes get to the point where I figure it can’t get much worse so I may as well do what I was planning to do. I suppose I should take the kids outside. Sunglasses and baseball cap will definitely be in order.
Question for those who use Leslie Sansone’s DVD’s - Do any of you use a pedometer as well? The amount of steps in her 4 mile one I used was equal to just over 2 miles, not 4. And yes, I double checked to make sure I hadn’t done a 2 mile one!
Have a great weekend.
Nice going on making yourself workout even when you didn’t want to.
I have wondered about those DVD’s myself. It just doesn’t seem like I get in the miles like she says we do. I really just watch the time and count that when I do those.
Hope you have a great weekend Diane!
Hey Diane,
you know I did use a pedometer basically just to measure the distance of some of my fauvorite treks. I then duscovere this site
http://www.mapmyrun.com/
and compared my recored against actual numbers. In my case, the pedometer was underestimating by about 20%.
Now I gave it away as I know exactly how long my walks are. Just love that mapmyrun site.
Lots of kudos for doing it even though you didn’t feel like it. The calories were burnt just the same, you know, whether you were hyped or not.
And the poor little doggy. Give it a chance to get to speed. my dog needed time, too, but he caught up with me soon enough. But I remember when I was 10 years old I took my sister’s naighbours’ dogs out once and since I didn’t have a dog then I really made this opportunity the best I could… we went running for 2 hours and the neighbours later said that the 2 dogs came homw and went straight to bed for a whole day… didn’t bother to eat or drink which had never happened before. Poor souls. I feel bad about that…
Have a lovely weekend!
