Not giving in

I have lost the weight that I gained while family was here so my ticker is now accurate again.  I have managed to get in my exercise every day for more than a week.  Yesterday wasn’t exactly what I wanted to accomplish, but I did get in 60 minutes.  I have worked way to hard to get to where I am to stop now.  I may wonder what the point is sometimes, but that is only surface questioning.  Deep down I know the answer.  There are days where it is hard to see beyond the surface and those are the days I question and keep going, figuring there was a reason I started even if I don’t recall it at the time.

Yesterday I did find out the reason it seems my son has been sick since March is because he is allergic to something.  Not sure what, but just a little OTC and he is better.  They are both getting over bronchitis and are much better.  I will be cutting any artificial sweeteners, thanks to their dad, out of their diet and being more strict with the sugar.  Since they both like healthy foods, there’s no reason for sugary treats all the time.

I know that my health issues are mainly stress and weight.  Lack of sleep plays a large part as well.  I’ve always been a light sleeper and having children has just compounded that.  My DS will be 2 next month and I think that it is time for the monitor to go, at least from our bedroom.  He’s a noisy sleeper and I wake up with every sound.  It’s not like I can’t hear him without it, I just won’t hear every sound.

And now I just get the rest of my day going.  That dreaded laundry is laughing at me from the baskets where it sits, waiting to be folded and put away.  Oh, for a maid and cook.

I think that’s why you are seeing some success from your weightloss because even though you may have doubts about some things, you still do your workouts and your still in the fight. It’s doing all the right things even though our moods tell us not to or our heart just isn’t in it at the time. Keep up the good work. :) I think your doing great.

Glad you are still in the fight Diane. I know we get down about it sometimes and that makes it harder for us to want to keep going. Somehow, someway we keep going though and that is what is important.

Good idea on getting rid of the monitor. My son just turned 2 and I still have the monitor going. Maybe it is time for me to get rid of mine too so I can sleep better. Thanks for the idea!

Have a great day Diane and I hope you are able to get some rest soon.
