Tough day

Well, I did set the alarm for 4:55 this morning.  At 3 a.m. when my son finally stayed asleep, I turned it off so I could get 2.5 hours of sleep.  Don’t know what was up with him, but he didn’t want to sleep at all.   We are headed to the gym in a bit so I will get that workout in today, provided my son will stay in child watch without big sis.

This evening I won’t get my walk in because I’m going to a Mom’s Night Out.  Have never done that before so I’m rather nervous.  I don’t know anyone that is going to be there and it is at The Olive Garden.  And to top it all off TOM arrived today.

Gotta get ready to go.  Have a great day everyone!

    Diane,

I am sure you know this but eat something small with protein before you go to Olive garden like celery with PB. This will settle your stomach so you won’t overeat. Good for you to go to Mom’s night out. I know it is scary meeting new people but don’t binge. I always tend to binge before I meet new people. You need time away from your kids and deserve a nice evening out. Order the Alfrado sauce for me..lol I wish I could go with you Olive Garden is my favorite.

Sorry you didnt get to get up and walk as planned.  At least you will get to workout today at the Y. (as long as your son will allow it)  That mom’s night out sounds fun! I hope you have a good time!

    Hi Tasha,

You can do it.  One of the most valuable things that I have been told and seems to work, at least mentally, is when you are going anywhere, park REEEAL far away from the entrance and force yourself to WALK the distance, Whether it really helps that much physically, for some reaons it helps make you feel like you are doing something positive.  I am sure it is harder with a little one, but if you do it consistently for a month, you could gain alot of extra distance you might not have done before.  Every little bit counts.  As far as Olive Garden, Salad and Soup, Salad and Soup, Salad and Soup.  Don’t forget, OG now has WHOLE GRAIN pasta.  So you can get any of the lighter dishes with that and it is MUCH better than regular, and doesn’t taste too bad either.  Have fun at Mommy’s night out!  How cool is that?  Keep us all informed of how you do today and tonight.  We are all rooting for ya!!!!

I put great value to a good night’s sleep, it’s crucial both for physical health and (at leas in my case) for mental hygiene. I hope you can cath up soon. Have a great day and take it easy - that’s the approach you need for the evening event and you’ll be sure to have a great time. It’s all in the perspective…

Have a great time at your Mom’s night out.  Those things can make you nervous but try and make a point to make at least one good connection there.  Find someone you might have alot in common with and get to know them better.  I hope you have a good time!

Have fun Diane with the Mom’s night out. Wish we had something like that here. I think you’ll have a great time meeting new friends! Wish too we had an Olive Garden as well, never been there but heard it’s very good! Hope you got in a good workout and your son was ok in child care!
